Understanding SEO - What Is SEO?
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is an online marketing strategy that aims to display your website on the first page of search results for your chosen keywords.
Using the right strategy can improve your business, but if wrong, your business will not be found in search engines.
For example, for a 'flower shop' business, if you want to be on the first page when people search for the word 'flower shop' in search engines (such as Google, Yahoo, or Bing), the business must use SEO.
The problem is, space on the first page of search results (Search Engine Result Page - SERP) is limited. There are approximately 10 places. Whereas every business owner wants their business to be on page 1 of search results. Here is the part of implementing SEO strategies.

In the application of SEO and to understand the understanding of SEO, several things need to be considered:1. Competition
The more (the number of) businesses that want to be on the first page, the higher the competition.
If the number of searchers (you can research using keyword planner) more and more, usually the competition is higher.
When competition is highly valued, the SEO strategy needed is increasingly complex (and will require higher expertise and costs)

The website has an important role in SEO. In making a website, you need to create a Search Engine Friendly (SEF) website.

3. SEO Strategy
Many say that they understand how to apply SEO strategies. But you need to know, many are using illegal methods to make their goals achieved.
Those who misuse SEO, use this illegal strategy, also called Black-Hat-SEO.
You MUST apply White-Hat-SEO. You can learn from a variety of trusted sources such as from Distilled, Moz, etc., or use the services of trusted professionals.
FYI, White-hat-SEO is not difficult but does require more time. But the results will be better than those who use Black-Hat or Gray-Hat in the future.
